Spring is in the Air

I know some of you - OK it was just Sven Kirt and Sven Mark - were disappointed that there weren't fish posts from Florida this year. What can I say, we caught more fish than ever but they were all little grunts and snappers and jacks. Nothing particularly photoworthy.

If Greenie had caught whatever snapped his Spiderwire things would have been different. Or if I had left the hook in the Seargent Major I was using for 'Cuda bait when the 6' nurse shark gobbled it up under the dock... but it was not to be.
So this brings me to this weekend's project. I bought a new jack and Kroiled the nuts on the winch stand and jack. I removed the jack and moved the winch forward to get the back of the boat over the bunks. The new jack had to be moved twice to get the handle to miss the boat but it all works. I now have significantly more weight on the tongue, we'll see how heavy it is with the 25 and a full tank of gas in the back.
Next I moved on to removing the stickers. It was a pain, but it's done! Now the boat formerly known as "SS Sticker Boat" needs a new coat of paint and more importantly, a new name...

So, what'll it be boys? Lund Red, Lund Blue, maybe a nice dark Green?

Will the color determine the name? Or the other way around. West Marine has Red and Blue on clearance - "only" $13 per quart...
