Recovering From HHOI IV
I have sunk to new lows. I guess from the beginning I have been LSJay's assistant. Hugh Hewitt on Ice 1 was Jay's big break in Talk Radio. He got the host that doesn't do remotes to do a remote, and not just a remote - a remote from the frozen face of Lake Minnetonka.
The three Svens won the chance to compete against Hugh and his In-Fisherman guides. We were up against it from the get go. The Pizza was just the ticket for some hungry Svens - Thanks Jay. But poor Hugh was duped into thinking he caught a Pike. He's talent, so we let him believe he won fair and square. Heck - we were in on it!
LSJay had some staffing problems on Friday at HHOI IV, it seems like someone from the Patriot gets sick every time Hugh comes to call. At any rate Jay was short handed -again- so I did what any Sven would do - "Yes Maam, everything is $5" "Nope, I'm sorry, we only have XL t-shirts left, sorry" "They're preshrunk, so they won't get much smaller" Yup, I was a Patriot intern for a day.
I even got to find the fax machine when news of Eason Jordan's resignation came through. Least RadioBlogger bash Jay for not doing anything - he was holding down the fort after all - I ran to the Chalet at Buck Hill, up the spiral stairway of death to retreive the faxes from Adam Youngman - and returned them to LSJay so he could give them to the Boss.
Hugh's voice survived the 3 hours and Jay didn't even make him shlep the gear into the Patriot XUV, yup that was Sven again.
Thanks for gracing our tundra again Hugh and Generalissimo! We'll see you at the Fair!
