The Red Baron Flies Again

So I was supposed to do this long ago, but with the Quad, I've been a little busy.

LSJay got some free media spots for us to go up in a WWII era biplane.

Pastor Matt, LSJay and I went.

Should we be afraid if the pilot is reading this before we go up?

They had a bad feeling about LSJay, so they added a diaper to his chute. We all had parachutes on. They gave us very specific instructions in the bail out process. I'm thinking, is he kidding? I'm not bailing out of a plane today, we're only a few thousand feet up! And we're over a lake for crying out loud.

Did you know these things are a frame of wood or aluminum and just have a skin over the wings and body? There are only a few places you can step or put your hands or you punch a hole in the plane! The black area right by the fuselage is steel, all the white stuff is vinyl.

We did air acrobatics. Took off in formation 2 x 2, flew out over Lake Minnetonka, then we did a loop in formation and flew off to do some stunts. Barrel roll, Hammerhead, and a tight loop. Serious G pulling there.

Very Cool.
